Antonin Kinsky – 7 – A great start to his Tottenham career. The fans in the stadium were loving some of his brave passing out from the back. A nervy moment or two, but that is to be expected.

Pedro Porro – 6 – Did some nice work in the build-up at times but most of Tottenham’s play came down the other side. A couple of nice pieces of defending at the back post, which is not usually his forte.

Radu Dragusin – 7 – Had a good chance to put Spurs 1-0 up but diverted his effort too close to Alisson. Overall, won his aerial duels and kept the Liverpool forwards pretty quiet.

Archie Gray – 6.5 – Calm and composed on the ball as usual. Gets Tottenham out of some sticky situations with his passing out from the back. He also knows when to clip one down the wing instead of playing a needless risky pass.

Djed Spence – 7 – Really impressive on and off the ball. His high press caused Conor Bradley some problems and his build-up play was so positive. All of this on his weak side too, remember.

Yves Bissouma – 7 – Did well to win the midfield battle in the first 45, especially after losing his partner. It was just a shame the forward players couldn’t use the possession a little better. Picked up an early yellow for a tackle on Jota.

Rodrigo Bentancur – N/A – Went off after just six minutes with a worrying head injury.

Lucas Bergvall – 6 – Started off pressing high but had to drop back into a more disciplined role after Bentancur went off. Struggled a little to track his runner when Liverpool were building an attack.

Dejan Kulusevski – 5 – Not his usual self in the first-half. A little wasteful on the ball, especially in Liverpool’s half. Also seemed to be lacking his usual limitless energy.

Dominic Solanke – 5 – Pressed well from the front to force Liverpool into a couple of rare errors. Unfortunately, he couldn’t convert those turnovers into meaningful chances.

Heung-min Son – 5 – A little quiet in the first half but there seems to be space for him to break into down that side if Spurs get the pass right. A couple of overhit passes almost set him away.

Substitutes:

Brennan Johnson – 5 – Had to come on after just six minutes to replace Bentancur. Little to do going forward but the crowd loved some of his tracking back, including a slide tackle on an advancing Gakpo.
