ESPN: By now I’m sure you’re all aware of the news that former Yankees All-Star outfielder Brett Gardner’s son Miller has passed away after a sudden illness while on vacation. He was just 14 years old. There isn’t really anything you can say at times like this, so I’ll just leave it there. NJ.com | Max Goodman: The starting rotation for April seems to be set, although it doesn’t look much like anything we would have predicted when pitchers and catchers initially reported. With Clarke Schmidt officially on the shelf to begin 2025, Will Warren will come to the Bronx and is slated to start the fourth game of the season, April 1st against the Diamondbacks. Carlos Carrasco was announced yesterday as the final pitcher in the rotation, being added to the roster ahead of Opening Day.
New York Daily News | Gary Phillips: With spring training almost completely behind us, the walking wounded that have so hurt the Yankees’ ability to field a full team to start the season are focused solely on rejoining the squad. Luis Gil, Giancarlo Stanton and DJ LeMahieu all face different challenges in returning from injury, but only Gil seems to have a direct path to recovery. For the two veterans, their cases will be much more complicated.
