College Basketball Crown 2025: Schedule, bracket, how to watch new tournament

As the NCAA Tournament reigns supreme as the top postseason event in college basketball and the NIT continues to be played, another tournament will be introduced in men’s hoops this season.

The College Basketball Crown.

Put on by Fox Sports and the Anschutz Entertainment Group, the College Basketball Crown is a new postseason tournament aimed at giving teams in Power conferences and others that didn’t make the NCAA Tournament a chance to continue their season and play for a title. The entire tournament will be played in Las Vegas and will feature 16 teams with some guaranteed selections from the Big Ten, Big 12 and Big East. While the dates for the tournament are known, not much else is known about the tournament nor who will be in it.

Still, it’s an intriguing alternate option for college hoops and will be one to watch outside of the NCAA Tournament. Here’s what we know about the inaugural College Basketball Crown.
