Hallmark’s final new Christmas movie is upon us! Can you believe there have been 40 new Hallmark Christmas movies this year? Happy Howlidays, the last new film of the season, is unique in that it’s the Hallmark Channel debut of Ezra Moreland, the winner of Finding Mr. Christmas. In the new Hallmark+ reality series, 10 male contestants vied for the title of Mr. Christmas and the lead role in a Hallmark Christmas movie.
What is Happy Howlidays about?
Mia (Jessica Lowndes), a meticulous webpage editor for the Seattle Tourism Board, finds herself unexpectedly navigating the holidays alone. As the only one working, she’s drawn into an unusual encounter when she finds a stray dog. Unsure how to handle the situation, she crosses paths with Max (Moreland), a dog shelter owner. Mia agrees to let Max’s ailing dog find solace with her newfound companion, in exchange for Max showing her the hidden gems of Seattle. Through their journey together, they both step out of their comfort zones, discovering new perspectives and forming a meaningful connection.
What is Finding Mr. Christmas?
Finding Mr. Christmas was a competition reality series on Hallmark+. In the show created and hosted by actor Jonathan Bennett with Melissa Peterman serving as a judge, 10 men competed in a series of festive challenges that showcased their acting chops and their holiday spirit. The winner of the series landed the leading role in a Hallmark Christmas movie.

Meet the cast of Happy Howlidays
Jessica Lowndes (Mia)
In addition to her acting career, Jessica Lowndes is also a singer, having released multiple singles and EPs. Her first album, Elemental, was released in 2022. Lowndes has appeared in multiple movies for Lifetime, Hallmark Channel and Great American Family, including Christmas at Pemberley Manor, Harmony from the Heart and Mix Up in the Mediterranean.

Ezra Moreland (Max)
The 31 year-old former Navy rescue diver and model, was crowned the winner of Finding Mr. Christmas, beating out Australian Hayden Maher and New Jersey native Elijah Malcomb as top dog. While Maher and Malcomb may not have placed first, it’s more than likely we’ll see these two again on Hallmark.

Happy Howlidays premieres on Saturday, Dec. 21 at 8 p.m. ET on Hallmark Channel.
