Hoda Kotb hosted her last ‘Today’ show

(WJAR) — Hoda Kotb hosted her final episode of the “Today” show on Friday.

The likable TV personality had been with the show for 17 years, first hosting the fourth hour and then rising up to be co-anchor of the main show.

She had announced she was leaving the show in September of last year, citing a decision she made following her 60th birthday.

On Friday she was sent off with well wishes from a variety of celebrities and co-workers.

Kotb was emotional on multiple segments.

At one point she was joined by her two daughters and they were all serenaded by Kermit the Frog.

Craig Melvin is set to replace Kotb as the co-anchor of “Today.”

In all, she was on the show for 17 years.
