Louisiana football is off to New Mexico, but it’s not for margaritas and a vacation, it’s for business.
The Ragin’ Cajuns will make their first appearance in the 2024 Isleta New Mexico Bowl Game taking on TCU. The Cajuns have spent the entire season exceeding expectations finishing first in the Sun Belt West division, winning 10 games, and making an SBC Championship appearance.
With all the good, the Cajuns (10-3, 7-1 SBC) aren’t satisfied and want to go out with a win, a Power 5 win at that. The Horned Frogs (8-4, 6-3 Big 12) also seek momentum to ride out on this season. Injuries, transfer portal losses, and players declaring for the NFL draft may change some of the faces in this bowl matchup but it won’t take away from its importance.
Will the Cajuns be able to shine in the new bright lights of a new bowl game or will TCU cast a shadow? Sun Belt Coach of the Year Michael Desormeaux will look to lead his Cajuns to one more win to cap off a stellar 2024 season.
