After five seasons and six years, “Yellowstone” — at least in its original form — comes to an end tonight.
Despite being promoted as a “season” finale, rather than a “series” finale, it’s likely that “Yellowstone” as we know it is done after tonight, when the story of the Dutton family in the wake of their patriarch’s murder comes to a close, but according to reports, the show will live on in a new form with original cast members returning.

Even with five seasons under their belt, “Yellowstone” is still a hard show to watch on streaming, especially if you want to tune in live. Luckily, we have everything you need to know so you can watch tonight’s landmark finale.
“Yellowstone” Season 5, Episode 14 airs tonight, December 15, at 8:00 p.m. ET.
If you have regular cable, you’ll be able to watch “Yellowstone” exclusively on Paramount Network.
You’ll need a live TV streaming service to tune into “Yellowstone” since the show doesn’t stream next-day on Peacock or Paramount+. Here are a few of our favorite options to get you started:
- Philo: seven days free, then $28/month
- DIRECTV Stream: five days free, then $86.98/month for the first two months
Additionally, Hulu + Live TV carries the Paramount Network with a three-day free trial before $82.99/month payments begin.
Sling TV is another option without a free trial, but at 50% off your first month, it’s an appealing plan. Sling’s Orange plan will cost you $20 for your first month, but you’ll also have to add the Entertainment Extra package for an additional $6/month.
New episodes of “Yellowstone” don’t immediately hit streaming services like Peacock, so the only way to watch a “Yellowstone” Season 5B episode that you’ve missed (if you haven’t taped it on DVR) is by purchasing it on-demand via Prime Video beginning the morning after the episodes air. Episodes cost $2.99.

No… not really, but also, kind of? “Yellowstone” in its original form is likely over as of tonight. However, it was reported that Hauser and Reilly closed deals to lead a spin-off that follows Rip and Beth after the conclusion of “Yellowstone.”
There are more spin-offs of “Yellowstone” in the works, too, including the second season of “1923,” which premieres in February, and “The Madison,” both of which will air on Paramount+.
