It’s an achievement for Ohio State fans, considering some of the travel woes many faced on their trek to Texas. Former Ohio State player-turned-hip hop artist Mekka Don posted on X (formerly Twitter) that his flight to Dallas was postponed on Thursday. There were also hundreds of flights from Columbus to Dallas canceled.

Not only were there travel concerns, but Texas also had an advantage based on bowl location, as Austin, Texas, is only a four-and-a-half-hour drive or so from AT&T Stadium.

Ohio State is coming off back-to-back dominant wins over No. 9 Tennessee (42-17) and No. 1 Oregon (41-21) at Ohio Stadium and the Rose Bowl, respectively. Texas, meanwhile, defeated No. 12 Clemson and No. 4 Arizona State in double overtime to reach the semifinal.
