Packers lose to Bears in finale, will play Eagles in NFC Wild Card Round

The Green Bay Packers lost Christian Watson and Jordan Love to injuries, were defeated by the Chicago Bears on a game-winning field goal as time expired and will now travel to Philadelphia to play the Eagles in the NFC Wild Card Round.

Watson left with a knee injury and was ruled out coming out of halftime. Love injured his elbow on the same drive in the second quarter but never returned.

After Brandon McManus gave the Packers their first lead of the game at 22-21 with 54 seconds left, the Bears drove into field goal range and Cairo Santos connected on a 51-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Bears to a win in the season finale.

The Packers finished the 2024 season at 11-6 overall after losing back-to-back division games. Matt LaFleur’s team was 1-5 in NFC North games and 0-3 in divisional home games.

As the No. 7 seed, the Packers will go to Philadelphia to play the No. 2 seeded Eagles at Lincoln Financial Stadium in the first round of the NFC playoffs.

The Washington Commanders came from behind to beat the Dallas Cowboys, so the Packers were destined to the No. 7 seed regardless of teh result against the Bears.

The defeat snapped an 11-game win streak over the Bears. It also represented the Packers’ first loss to the Bears at Lambeau Field since 2015.
