Fort Worth, TX – Flash flood warnings remain in effect for parts of Tarrant and Parker counties after heavy rain drenched the area Tuesday morning.

The National Weather Service (NWS) reported that over 4 inches of rain fell in central Parker County, while northern Tarrant County saw up to 2 inches. Flooding has been reported in Fort Worth, Weatherford, and surrounding cities. Affected areas include streets, highways, and low-lying neighborhoods.

According to the NWS, the warnings for Tarrant County will continue until 11:30 a.m., while Parker County’s alert extends until noon. Key cities impacted by the severe weather include Euless, Azle, and Weatherford. Residents are advised to avoid flooded roads, as most flood-related fatalities occur in vehicles.

Thunderstorms causing the deluge are expected to weaken later in the day. However, officials urge caution and preparedness as drainage systems remain overwhelmed.

Authorities recommend staying indoors, avoiding unnecessary travel, and keeping updated through local weather channels. Residents should secure valuables and monitor conditions closely.
