The Brutalist was up for seven Golden Globes, ultimately taking home three in total, which included Best Motion Picture – Drama. The film was up against a number of must-watch movies from the past year, including A Complete Unknown, Conclave, Dune: Part Two, Nickel Boys, and September 5.
Because The Brutalist only arrived in select theaters on Dec. 20, 2024, it is not yet available on streaming and only playing in select cinemas (but is anticipated to be available nation-wide on Jan. 17). But, don’t stray away too quickly, the film’s production company, A24, set a deal back in 2023 with Max, which will bring all films from the company onto the streaming platform.
